In our fast-paced world, chronic stress has become an all-too-familiar companion for many of us. The relentless demands of daily life can trap us in cycles of stress, making it difficult to find peace and tranquility. However, there are powerful tools that can help us break free from these cycles. Continue reading to get some powerful tips from Nila Velchoff, Ren Practitioner and integration specialist.

Consistency is Key

The key to using these practices effectively lies in consistency. Just as regular exercise strengthens our bodies, consistently practicing Stillness trains our minds and bodies to return to a state of deep peace. Think of Stillness as a destination. The more frequently we visit, the easier it becomes to return, even during life's most chaotic moments.

When stress begins to build, even if it feels overwhelming, you can remind yourself that you have a place of Stillness to retreat to. Just as you can return to your local grocery store after a long weekend trip, when you cultivate a Stillness practice, you can find your way back to peace and tranquility amidst the chaos.

Tools to Break Free from Chronic Stress with Nila

  1. Stillness

    • Consistency is Key: Regular practice of Stillness helps entrain your biology to remember and access this peaceful place. Think of Stillness as a location. The more time you spend in Stillness, the easier it becomes to return to it, even during stressful moments.

    • Acknowledge and Breathe: When you feel stressed, acknowledge the sensation and observe where it manifests in your body. Take deep breaths and engage in a breathing technique you find helpful.

    • Recall a Peaceful Memory: If you don't have a structured meditation practice, remember a time or place where you felt deep Stillness. This memory can serve as a quick way to access peace. For example, remember a moment of peace and tranquility in your place in nature. Close your eyes, come back to this place, and it can instantly bring a sense of calm.

  2. Energy Healing

    • Subtle Energy Healing: This practice involves tuning into the subtle energies within and around you to promote healing and relaxation. Consistent exposure to energy healing sessions can help your body and mind remember the state of peace and return to it more readily.

    • Long-Distance Energy Healing: Even if you can't attend in-person sessions, long-distance energy healing can be a powerful tool. These sessions work on the principle that energy is not bound by physical distance, allowing you to receive the benefits of healing energy wherever you are. Energy Healing for Stillness and Stress Relief with Nila on the Ren calendar is a great resource.
